2025-11-27 | Nseabasi Akpan in a group exhibition at CBK Zuidoost

During his residency at the Thami Mnyele Foundation, our current resident Nseabasi Akpan is preparing for a group exhibition, Air in Zuidoost, at CBK Zuidoost.

Come to the opening of the exhibition Air in Zuidoost on Thursday, 11 December, and discover new work by (inter)national artists who stayed at our BijlmAIR residency at Heesterveld over the past year.

Nseabasi Akpan, Yrene van Amstel, Ramal Karmarama, Priscilla Kennedy, Martin Toloku and Jun Zhang were inspired by the stories, colours, and people of Zuidoost. At the same time, Raul Balai travelled to Kumasi, Ghana, to conduct research and create new work.
